Module 3 – Lesson 1
In this lesson you’ll learn:
- The 4 pillars of culture
Why your teams should be tracking their culture scores
All groups – from families to neighborhoods to offices – have a specific culture.
Daniel Coyle, The Culture Code
When it comes to culture, there are two essential choices:
- Affect your culture
- Be affected by your culture.
Create the story or be influenced by the story.
Culture is the understood beliefs, behaviors, attitudes, and actions of a specific group of connected people. If you can foster a positive, healthy, and vibrant culture around you, then you can magnify the purpose expressed in your COREvalues. If you cannot, you will end up swimming upstream — spending much of your energy fighting the current — rather than making forward progress toward meaningful goals.
The following lessons will show you how to use the COREculture assessment to help your teams intentionally nurture a culture that aligns with your core values.
