When it comes to culture, there are two essential choices:
Affect your culture
Be affected by your culture.
Tell the story, or be influenced by the story.
Culture is the understood beliefs, behaviors, attitudes, and actions of a specific group of connected people. If you can foster a positive, healthy, and vibrant culture around you, then you can magnify the purpose expressed in your COREvalues.
If you cannot, you will end up swimming upstream — spending much of your energy fighting the current — rather than making forward progress toward meaningful change.
Wealth, in all its forms, is most effectively and powerfully transferred from one generation to the next by families who engage in meaningful communication, are cohesive and connected, have a clear sense of identity and purpose, and are intentional about the impact they want to have in the world.
