Module 1 – Lesson 1

In this lesson you’ll learn:

    • Harness the strength of your team
    • Create greater understanding, and therefore increase productivity
    • Strengthen your team culture and reduce turnover

“The strength of the team is each individual member. The strength of each member is the team.” — Phil Jackson

Why COREteams?

The COREteams assessment is designed to help your team understand the why behind the strength of each individual team member.  When individuals know and share their why – their core values – you can learn how to harness the collective strength of the team.

Teams succeed when they get to the heart of:

  • What is important to each team member
  • The why behind behavior, as values influence our actions
  • How to effectively leverage each person’s core values to enhance the team’s core values and mission

Create greater understanding to increase productivity

Our personalities are the outward traits people see.  They may include mannerisms, communication style, or energy level.  Personalities tend to stay the same throughout our lifetime,

Our core values are deeper.  They are strongly held beliefs that guide our choices, behaviors, and principles.  Core values can change ove our lifetime, based on our life experiences.

When teams are encouraged to live out their core values – to find alignment in what they do and what they believe – the impact is crucial.  Teams get to work in authenticity, so collaboration and productivity soar.

Strengthen your team culture and reduce turn over

According to SHRM, 57% of people who rate their organizational culture poorly are actively looking to leave or will be soon.

The COREteams culture assessment asks teams to evaluate team culture across four metrics: communication, cohesion, identity, and impact.  When you know how your team feels about your culture – the strengths and weaknesses – you can begin to intentionally address concerns.

If you’re the kind of team leader who cares deeply about your employees — and you understand that the biggest risks to success are sometimes not seen on the spreadsheet — you’re in the right place.

With that context in mind, let’s dive into the COREteams dashboard.
